Part of the strategy to being successful in any endeavor is to set yourself up for success. One of the best ways to do that is to know and carry out the action steps that give you energy, focus, and power.
For me, energy comes from working out. I know that on the days I work out physically, I am more productive and more profitable. Understanding that a workout of any kind can actually affect your profit margin is a powerful motivator. I have never been athletic and, if truth were known, my idea of a good workout would be to read a good book in front of the fireplace. But I workout - not for my appearance; not even for my health. I workout because it gives me the physical energy I need to accomplish some seriously big goals. Adding upbeat music to that only enhances my energy level and by the time I’m done, I’m ready to take on the world.
- What give you physical energy?
- What if you did that every day?
- How would your sales and recruiting improve?
Focus is the ability to laser in on your most income-producing activities. In your business that would be any action that directly produces a sale or recruits a new Consultant. That list is actually pretty short: making phone calls, talking to strangers, holding skin-care classes, doing marketing plans. That’s about it. For me, having a daily written plan and my devotional time allow me to take my normally 180 degree focus and laser it down to the select few actions for the day that will bring the highest payoff.
- What gives you focus?
- How will you set yourself up for success by creating that every single day?
Lastly, personal power comes very often from something that seems silly - wearing your high heels while making phone calls, never going out without lipstick and sunglasses, or always having a good hair day. Identify that strange little personal thing that has to be in place. You know what I’m talking about - it’s that thing that gives you the personal power and confidence to talk to anyone about anything. Oh, and it’s not silly, it has to do with self-respect
- What’s your “gotta have it” thing that makes you feel like the powerful woman you are and people are just dying to meet you?
- Why would you even try to conduct business without it?
When your energy, focus, and personal power all come together, you are unstoppable. There is no quicker way to see a massive change in your results. Identify what gives you these things and set yourself up to be outrageously successful!
Now go be amazing!
